How DOES LUMECCA WORK?

Lumecca uses a specific Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) wavelength that is absorbed by the areas of skin discolored by pigment and blood vessels. These targeted areas will then absorb the light energy, thus pigment and blood vessels are destroyed. The body then clears the problem areas that have been treated. Your skin returns to a more uniform color throughout, resulting in a more youthful appearance. Treatment requires zero downtime and is especially effective for improving the appearance of the face, neck, chest, and hands.

What is the treatment time and how many sessions will I need?

Lumecca IPL treatment is more powerful, and more efficient than other IPL photofacial treatments on the market. Treatment time is usually around 20 minutes, depending on the size of treatment area. We usually recommend 3 sessions, 1 month apart.

What should I expect?

Immediately following the treatment, you’ll see your brown spots darken. You’ll probably realize that there was more uneven pigmentation than you realized. This is a sign that the treatment is working! Over the next few days the spots will be absorbed by the body or flake off leaving revitalized skin behind.
